Bathroom Glow-Up 2020

Welcome to 2020!  The weirdest year that I believe we collectively as humans may have ever experienced.  The Corona Virus has challenged everyone in someway or another since it landed this Spring.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all negatively effected by the virus.  At my house, we are blessed to say that we have fully recovered from being diagnosed with Covid-19, and are all feeling well. Thinking back on the beginning of quarantine, I won't lie, those first few weeks were pretty fun!  I had my second son, Miles, in January this year, so at first, the "Stay at Home" order felt like an extended maternity leave...and then the ants got in my pants.  The walls of my house started closing in on me.  I saw so many home improvement projects I wanted to do that I always told myself I never had time for, and all of the sudden, I had nothing but time to do them.  It all started one beautiful Spring day when my sweet friend who doubles as my neighbor came over and offered to help me tear down some old wallpaper in my laundry room, and it ended with what seems like an entire home makeover.  The first room to be completed, our master bathroom, is going to be the first room I show you, and WOW! What a transformation!  When we bought our home in 2017, I told my husband William that I wanted to re-do this bathroom before we even moved in.  Ha! Nearly 3 years later, here we are.  BUT, I will say, I am super happy with the way it turned out, and I probably appreciate it more because I had to wait so long to do it.  Marc Facella did a beautiful job with all of the construction work.  Haley and Doug Mitchell did an amazing job creating our custom vanity.  Chase Hazard at Lighting Unlimited is the designer who helped me in picking all lighting fixtures and room accessories.  I will share all links for materials used at the end of the page that I will make a commission on if you choose to purchase anything from those sites, but always encourage supporting your local businesses when possible to supply your materials.  For the most part, we are done with our renovation! There are still a few tiny touch ups that we need to, naturally. I may do a secondary post with better photos once all finished, but we are so happy and excited to finally have our dream bathroom.
